2 · Scope of processing
This website serves to present our company. It has no user accounts and uses no tracking or analytics tools. No content is loaded from third-party servers. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
3 · Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Strato AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Strato's data centres are located in Germany. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records technical data in what are known as server log files (IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type, operating system, referrer URL). This processing is technically necessary to provide the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are stored for six weeks and then deleted automatically.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Strato AG pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
The website is transmitted in encrypted form (SSL/TLS). You can recognise this by "https://" in your browser's address bar.
4 · Cookies
We ourselves do not set any cookies on this website.
Our hosting provider Strato uses technically necessary session cookies. These do not store any user data and are deleted when you close your browser. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
5 · Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle and answer your enquiry. Providing this data is voluntary; without it, however, we cannot handle your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for taking steps prior to entering into a contract. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The "Write an email" button merely opens the email program on your device. No data is transmitted via the website itself. Our email mailbox is also operated by Strato AG (see section 3).
Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligations (in particular under commercial and tax law) prevent deletion.
6 · Fonts (self-hosted)
For consistent presentation we use the typefaces "Cormorant Garamond" and "Archivo". These are loaded exclusively from our own server. No connection is made to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) and no personal data is transmitted to third parties.
7 · Links to other websites
Our website contains links to the websites of our partners. You only leave our website when you click on such a link. The respective provider is responsible for the processing of your data on the linked websites.
8 · Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right at any time to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Please contact us using the details given above.
Right to object: Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The supervisory authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate)
Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany
